September 24, 2010

In September 2004, White House Clinics hosted the inaugural “Linking Up for Healthier Communities” golf tournament. Over 50 golfers participated in the day’s activities with all proceeds going towards White House Clinics' fund for indigent health care. The tournament, now in its seventh year, continues to benefit White House Clinics patients.

The federal program requires that White House Clinics collect minimal co-pays from patients for the services provided. Due to the extreme poverty faced by many of our patients, some seeking treatment are unable to pay even these minimal fees. Proceeds from the "Linking Up for Healthier Communities" Golf Tournament will assist our pediatrics programs. Annually, White House Clinics provide over $2,000,000 in medical care to the uninsured patients beyond its federal grant dollars.

Health Fairs

White House Clinics personnel participate in a number of health fairs throughout the year in Madison, Estill and Jackson Counties. Employees distribute health information and conduct health screenings such as blood pressure or sugar checks.

Richmond Pottery Festival

Berea Spoonbread Festival

Visit with Santa
Children across Jackson County look forward to Santa’s annual visit to White House Clinic – McKee. A joint project with the Christian Appalachian Project, all children visiting the clinic that evening receive a gift, snack, and a photo with Santa. Over 200 area children attend the event each year.
